Participation in NSS IIT Delhi Kaizen Event on 25th Feb
How would you feel when you meet so much enthusiastic people at a single platform working for a good cause from different areas?
On Sat 25th Feb Our Khushiyan Team visited IIT Delhi to take part in their annual Kaizen event. It was NGO meet and Kaizen is a joint initiative by NSS IIT Delhi, Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility (PESR) group. NSS works for social welfare so it was a good opportunity for us to set up a stall and to represent that how Khushiyan is working for the social causes. I along with Khushiyan team had really amazing experience. We haven’t just got the opportunity to interact with lots of NGO’s working in different areas but also we enjoyed a lot in IIT- Fest. Fest season was already going on in the college.
We interacted with students from IIT – Delhi and other institutes who wanted to know more about Khushiyan and our work of areas. They were interested in associating with us for volunteering and supporting the social causes. We had planned few games which visitors can play and appreciate how they can do volunteering with minimal resources. Khushiyan wheel was one of them which they had to spin clockwise. It had mentioned few tasks related to good causes. As the wheel stops and the cause to which arrow mark point, player had to fulfill the task aka social cause. People were taking interest playing this game with us.
I also got an opportunity to interact with other organization and know more about their work of areas and initiatives. I had a good conversation with inspirational people working for different social causes. Few of them were Indian Road Safety (creating awareness about the Road Safety in India) , GeneBandhu ( working in the areas of Blood disorder, they are helping to provide Bonemarrow donors ), Young Association (an organization of college students who are working for the betterment of despondent and destitute kids) , Udayan care (Working for the children who are orphaned or abandoned ) , BloodConnect ( Working for the blood shortage in India ) and some more NGOs were there.
IIT- Fest was on peak that time and so we also participated in different games and competitions. Like Maggie competition, funny activities with colors and lot of other games.
We tried to collaborate with other NGOs so that we can connect them with right organization or people to fulfill their own mission. The whole activities were really good with full excitement, fun and yes with lots of knowledge. First time, I got the chance to have a good conversation with so many people, students from IIT and an organization while representing Khushiyan at this level and one of the big platform. Waiting for more opportunities of course….
