Children’s Day 2017

We celebrated Children’s day by connecting helping hands. Children Day is a special day and various Organizations, Corporates and Volunteers want to make it more special especially for less privileged children. We are glad that were able to connect them and become the reason of smiles on everyone’s face

1. Mr Prabhjot reached us with an opportunity to invite ngo kids at a known mall to enjoy and spend time with kids through engagement activities. We highly appreciated the idea and connected Mr Prabhjot with Ms Pushpanjali of Shanti Gyan Sewa Trust for this mini fun oriented event for kids. Location was set at Pacific mall, Subhash Nagar, Delhi and they volunteered transport arrangements and personally greeted the kids at the mall entry. Children were welcomed with the mouth watering snacks in the cafeteria followed by gifts and their gratitude smiles with “Thank You, Bhaiya/Didi “ worked as best return gifts. Children were really happy having one of its kind experience of visiting mall as special guest. SGST  appreciated the efforts of Pacific mall team for making all the arrangements and khushiyan team for connecting with them for this wonderful and memorable experience.

2.  IFRF ( ISKCON Food Relief Foundation) organized Painting Competition for multiple government schools in Gurgaon on 14th Nov. Ms Vrinda, IFRF connected with khushiyan for volunteering support. After sharing the requirement in Khushiyan’s volunteers group, Mr Anil Rohilla and his colleagues (Chitranjan, Deepak , Sumantha patra) came forward to volunteer at such short notice and not only supported the event at very next day but also uplifted volunteering spirit.

3. Denave company connected with Khushiyan in September and Khushiyan happily organized their visit to Mala Smriti home,  a Children home based out in Noida. Ms Sunita, Denave HR showed great love towards kids by collecting children’s individual wishes just like early Christmas. Later, their company organized a campaign and named it “Wall of Kindness’ in which employees randomly selected the wishes and fulfilled those in no time. On the eve of Children’s Day, their team visited Mala Smriti home and personally handover the gifts to the children. Kids got super excited and their happiness can be easily seen on their faces of having their wish list items into their hands. Truly, Wall of Kindness performed as a bridge between small dreams and little angels.

 4. Ms Anshu, Khushiyan volunteer visited ‘Open School under Yamuna Bank Metro’ in the afternoon. She herself organized snacks for the children and shared the happy moments. She also had a discussion with Mr Rajesh and Mr Laxmi Co-Founders of school about their work and initiatives. Like an old saying “One man can make a change” & she is the prefect example of that by spreading Khushiyan in every single event organized by her.

We are glad that our small efforts connecting the people and making an impact !! We wish Happy Children’s Day to everyone and may volunteering spread more happiness.
